  • Morning – Rhythmic Gymnastics (RG), Trampolining (TRA) and Trampolining open synchro
  • Afternoon – Double Mini Trampoline (DMT), Tumbling (TUM) & Aerobics (AER)

Sunday 8 February at Otaki St and Vogel St Gymnasiums

  • Morning – Men’s Artistic, Women’s Artistic
  • Afternoon – Women’s Artistic 

Sport Fees:

$35.00 per person, per event. $45 max if competing in two or more events.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The dates of the Gymsports events have changed to the second weekend of the Games, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 February 2026. Participants who are already registered have recieved direct communication on this. 

Age Groups:

Individual Events:
20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Group and Team events are open age.

Minimum age 20 at the first day of competition.

Events:

Rhythmic Gymnastics

  • Individual Novice – compete one freehand routine and one apparatus of their choice
  • Individual Advanced – Compete two apparatus of their choice
  • Group Novice, Group Advanced – groups to comprise of 2, 3 or 4 gymnasts; apparatus of their choice, may be mixed or the same, to compete one routine that meets the novice or advanced requirements.

Trampoline

  • Individual men and individual women – compete two 10 bounce voluntary routines; may be the same or different

Tumbling

  • Compete two passes of four skills per pass. DMT – compete three passes of two skills. Synchro – compete one 10 bounce routine

Trampoline Team

  • To comprise of 3 members, one TRA, one DMT and one TUM (Novice or advanced form scores in individual events for names members added for team score)

Aerobics

  • Individual – to compete one routine to music that meets the novice or advanced requirements.
  • Group – 2 -6 athletes to compete one routine to music that meets the novice or advanced requirements

Artistic Gymnastics

  • Individual Mens and Women’s – ONE compulsory apparatus (floor), plus two apparatus of your choice: MAG (pommel, rings, parallel bars, vault) and WAG ( Vault, Bar, Beam)
  • Group –  to comprise of 4+ gymnasts and may be mixed gender.
  • Team Competition – to comprise of 3-5 gymnasts.
  • There will be novice and advanced team competitions – teams may be mixed gender. Note: team medals will not be awarded if only one team is competing.

Notes:

Age Policy:

  • Novice gymnasts must have been out of competitive gymnastics for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Advanced – open to all.
  • Group event – bonus points for age will be awarded to group (rhythmic, aerobics and artistic). Competitors will be given 0.1 for each year over the age of 25.
